Hushpix privacy policy

Your images

Hushpix opens images you select or share with it. Editing, text recognition, finding addresses and similar details in that text, face detection, QR detection and, from the next version, object detection (such as licence plates, ID documents and bank cards) take place on your device. We do not upload your photos, recognized text, QR contents or edited images to our own servers. Google ML Kit does not send input images or recognition results to Google.

Saving creates a new image, without copying original EXIF location or camera information. Sharing gives the edited copy to the app you choose, whose own privacy practices then apply.

AI model downloads

The app does not include its AI models. The first time a feature needs them, it downloads them from models.hushpix.app, which is served by Cloudflare: the text recognition models (about 3 MB) and, from the next version, the privacy object detector (about 7 MB). With AI access, the app also downloads them right after purchase and checks for updated models at most once a day on an unmetered network. Like any web request, these requests reveal your IP address, the app version and standard HTTP headers. They contain no images, recognized text or identifiers from the app. Each file is verified against a signed catalog before it is used. Cloudflare processes these requests under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

To find addresses, bank account and parcel numbers in recognized text, Google ML Kit downloads small language models (about 1–2 MB) from Google the first time they are needed. These requests contain no images or text.

Local storage

Language, theme, detection rules and the last confirmed purchase status are stored locally and excluded from application cloud backup and device transfer. Drafts you keep, including a copy of the image, stay in the app’s private storage until you export, discard or delete them. Downloaded models are stored in the app’s storage; you can delete them in Settings → AI models. Temporary share copies are stored in app cache; copies older than 24 hours are removed on a later app launch. Android may remove cache earlier. Gallery exports remain until you delete them. Clear the app’s storage or uninstall it to remove local preferences, drafts, models and cache.

Google services

There are no ads or app accounts. Google Play processes purchases and restoration. Google ML Kit sends device/app information, per-installation identifiers, API configuration and usage, input/output sizes, performance metrics and error diagnostics to Google over HTTPS for diagnostics and usage analysis. It may contact Google for compatibility information and updates. This does not include your images or recognition outputs.

This website

hushpix.app is a static website. It sets no cookies and loads no analytics, advertising or third-party resources. Cloudflare, which serves it, processes the IP address and standard headers of each request to deliver the pages, under the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
